Here’s a look behind the scenes at the vetting process we use every day:
Clear Communication From The First Phone Call
We don’t just take the name and skill from our candidates – every tradesperson we register goes through an in-depth phone call where we:
- Check their experience and previous roles
- Understand what type of projects they’ve worked on (residential, commercial, etc.)
- Confirm availability, their location and shift flexibility
- Gauge their punctuality and professionalism
Rigorous Right To Work & Compliance Checks
Before our candidates go to site, we make sure they have:
- Valid right to work documentation
- An in-date CSCS card (if required)
- Their own tools (for applicable roles)
- Up-to-date contactable references
We also keep a record of this so you’re covered if you need compliance evidence.
References That Actually Get Called
We don’t just collect references – we use them.
We call candidates’ references to ask:
- “What type of work have they done?”
- “Were they punctual?”
- “Would you have them back on site?”
- And more…
This step allows us to assess candidates and their suitability before they get sent over to you for approval.
